Billing

I-rad attempts to bulk bill where ever possible. Certain procedures that do not meet Medicare guidelines may be subject to payment. However, we endeavour to minimize patient out-of-pocket expense at all times.

Our experienced and friendly Reception Staff will be happy to assist with all your billing enquiries.

Appointments

We highly recommend that patients contact our Sunshine branch for all appointments. This can be arranged directly by your doctor or by yourself. Patients with a prior appointment will be given priority. Urgent or emergency cases will be treated on their respective merits.
I-rad offers a courtesy call, to remind patients of their up-coming appointment and will be advised of any preparation that may be necessary before the examination.

All x-ray referrals are accepted and I-rad.

Please note, we request that you bring along the referral form provided by your doctor along with any previous x-rays or ultrasounds.

Delivery of Results

For Patients

At I-rad we pride ourselves on our service delivery, with x-ray results being delivered to your doctor within 24 hours of the examination having been performed. However, in some cases, a patient may request to wait for and collect their results on the same day. Waiting times depend on the type of examination, though the general rule is approximately 45 minutes to an hour.

For Referring Doctors

I-rad can provide referring doctors with a range of diagnostic imaging reporting options.

  1. Courier Delivery: the traditional method, where a fast and efficient courier service provides delivery within 24 hours.
  2. Electronic Reports/Downloads: Reports can be emailed directly to the referring doctor at his or her practicing clinic. For patient privacy and security reasons, all reports are encrypted, which in turn are delivered directly in to the specific operating medical practice system of the clinic. This delivery mode meets all Medicare and Accreditation standards.
  3. Faxing of reports is also available
  4. Urgent Reports: Certain cases require immediate reporting. In this instance we kindly request that patients wait for the reports to be verified and ready for collection.
